A Brief History of Eagle Veneer, Inc.
The Junction City facility was leased from Bohemia, Inc. beginning in 1984 by forming a new Sub-S Corporation owned by Don & Dolly Deardorff. Its initial purpose was to provide custom drying services for an industry short on drying capacity. Custom plugging was added in 1986, scarfing in 1990, and composing in 2000.

The Eagle Veneer shares were gifted to the same ten shareholders as Del Corporation over two years, 1999 and 2000. Three shareholders have since been bought out, leaving seven family members as shareholders.

Eagle Veneer purchased a 42,000 sq ft Harrisburg facility in 1989 and began oversize plywood production in 1990 with a single 20 opening 5×12 hot press. A second 25 opening 5×10 foot plywood hot press was installed in 2003. The building was expanded to 84,000 sq ft in 2004. All veneer is purchased and/or processed through the Junction City facility. This facility operates under a DBA as Eagle Plywood Specialties.
